For Shannon Block, it all started because she wanted to try her hand in the family business. She gave it a shot for one year before deciding she loved the staffing industry and eight years later she became VP at Medical Staffing Services where she still feels she is making a difference in people’s lives. As a millennial, she believes in work-life balance, out-of-the-box thinking, and a constant focus on technology — philosophies she brings to the job. Block graduated with an MBA and a bachelor’s degree in sociology from Quinnipiac University.
But it’s her philanthropic work that sets her apart from the rest. She serves as chairman of the board of directors for American Friends of Herzog Hospital, which provides financial support to fund services, capital projects, research and the purchase of new equipment for Herzog Hospital in Jerusalem. Block plans to continue to grow the business by procuring better contracts with strategic partners while still maintaining 100% compliance to The Joint Commission and the business goals.
